Students must choose from various groups. Groups 1, 2 and 5 are compulsory for full IB DP students. In addition, they must choose at least one subject from Group 3 and one from Group 4. Group 6 may be replaced by a subject from one of the other groups.
Students need to choose one subject from each block, depending on the groups. English B is only for those students who are taking ESL at the moment or haven't done any English Literature in Grade 10. However, this means they cannot take the full IBDP unless they take a self-study Language A course, which needs to be discussed with them, as the school would need an external guide to help the student achieve the assessment objectives.
