Admission Procedure

TRIO World Academy welcomes applications from families in Bengaluru, across India and around the world.

As an international and multicultural school, we understand that students join us from different educational systems and backgrounds. Our admissions team helps parents understand the school's academic programmes, identify an appropriate grade and complete the admission process.

Our school offers International Baccalaureate (IB) and Cambridge curricula, providing an international learning environment that supports students throughout their school years.

Whether you are based in Bengaluru or planning to relocate from another city or country, our team is available to guide you through the process.

How to Apply for Admission

The admission process consists of five steps, designed to help families learn about the school while allowing us to understand each child's educational background and learning needs.

1

Getting to Know the School

We encourage parents to explore TRIO World Academy website and learn about our curriculum and school environment before applying.

For families in Bengaluru

Our Admissions Office can arrange a campus tour and an opportunity to meet the Head of School or the relevant Programme Coordinator to discuss your child's education.

For families outside Bengaluru or overseas

Our Admissions Office can arrange an online meeting with the relevant Programme Coordinator.

Parents can also explore the school through our virtual 360-degree campus tour, website and social media channels to get a better understanding of life at TRIO.

2

Sending an Enquiry

Parents can contact the Admissions Office through email, telephone or WhatsApp:

Email: admissions-ib@trioschools.com
Phone / WhatsApp: +91 9663041122

When contacting us, please mention your child's current grade, preferred method of communication and a convenient time for a callback.

Families living overseas are requested to include their time zone to help us arrange discussions at a suitable time.

Our admissions team will respond within two working days.

3

Interaction and Assessment

As part of the admission process, an interaction is arranged with the child to understand their academic background, learning abilities and individual needs.

Depending on the grade, this may include an interview, a written test and/or an assessment. Academic reports from the previous two years may also be considered.

Interactions may be arranged online or in person, as appropriate.

CAT4 Assessment – Grade 6 Onwards:

All students applying for admission to Grade 6 and above are required to complete the Cognitive Abilities Test, Fourth Edition (CAT4), as part of the school's admission process.

CAT4 helps our academic team understand how a student thinks and learns. It assesses four areas: verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and spatial ability.

The assessment is not a pass-or-fail test. The results provide insights into each student's learning profile and help teachers plan appropriate support or extension where needed.

The assessment takes approximately two hours, is conducted digitally on campus and does not require prior preparation.

Results are treated confidentially and shared only with relevant members of the academic team.

4

Admission Decision

Following the interaction and assessment, the Admissions Office will communicate the outcome to the parents.

The school will confirm whether the grade applied for is appropriate for the child or provide alternative recommendations where necessary.

5

Admission Acceptance and Enrolment

Once parents accept the admission offer, the Admissions Office will guide them through the remaining formalities.

These include completing the required forms, submitting the necessary documents and paying the applicable fees.

The formalities may be completed online or in person.

Parents are requested to keep the following documents ready:

  • Four passport-size photographs of the child

Important Information for High School Admissions:

Students applying for High School will receive guidance on course and subject selection from the High School Coordinator or IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, as applicable.

This is particularly important for students entering the IB Diploma Programme, where subject choices should be considered carefully in relation to academic interests and future educational plans.

Parents and students are also required to meet the Head of School after completing the admission procedure.

Your Child's First Day at TRIO

We understand that joining a new school can be an important adjustment, particularly for children moving from another city, country or educational system. Once the admission formalities are complete, parents will receive a detailed email from the Admissions Office and the respective Programme Coordinator. The email will include information about school transport, uniforms, important contacts, school guidelines and preparations for the first day.

Before the first day, our security and reception teams will be informed of your child's admission details to facilitate campus entry until school ID cards are issued.

On arrival, parents may report to the reception area. The Homeroom Teacher or Assistant Teacher will help the child reach their classroom and introduce them to their classmates.

Each new student will also be assigned a class buddy who will help them become familiar with the school, classroom routines and campus.

Our aim is to make the transition comfortable and welcoming for every new student.

Note: Families joining at the beginning of the academic year will also receive an invitation to the school's Orientation Day.
