TRIOTHON is the annual community run hosted by Trio World Academy, bringing together students, parents, families and members of the school community for a shared day of running, participation and connection.
The event is designed for different age groups, with shorter runs for younger children and longer-distance categories for older students and adults.
For some participants, TRIOTHON may be their first organised run. For others, it is an opportunity to take on a personal challenge, improve a previous effort or simply enjoy being active alongside friends and family.
What brings everyone together is the experience of taking part.
Running is one of the simplest ways to be active. It encourages movement, endurance and personal discipline, but it can also create a strong sense of togetherness.
TRIOTHON gives students an opportunity to experience physical activity beyond their regular sports programme and to challenge themselves in a different setting.
The focus is not only on speed or finishing positions. Participation, effort and encouragement are equally important.
Through the event, students and families come together around a shared experience that supports physical wellbeing, confidence and a positive approach to an active lifestyle.
TRIOTHON includes different race formats to suit the age and stage of the participants.
Our younger students take part in fun runs and shorter-distance races.
These categories are planned to keep the experience enjoyable and age-appropriate, allowing children to take part at a pace that feels comfortable to them.
For many young runners, the excitement comes from simply reaching the finish line and being cheered on by their families, teachers and friends.
Students in Middle and High School can take part in longer-distance categories, including 5K and 10K runs, depending on the age group and event format.
These distances give students an opportunity to test their endurance, set personal goals and experience the satisfaction that comes with completing a longer run.
Parents are also an important part of TRIOTHON.
Dedicated race categories allow parents to participate alongside the wider school community, adding a family dimension to the event and making the day more inclusive.
For students, seeing their parents take part can be just as meaningful as running themselves.
TRIOTHON is not limited to those who are running.
Students, parents, teachers, staff and families all contribute to the atmosphere of the event, whether by participating, volunteering, supporting younger runners or cheering from the sidelines.
This wider involvement is an important part of what makes TRIOTHON a community occasion.
It gives families and school staff an opportunity to meet and connect outside the usual school day, while students experience what it means to be part of a larger community.
Each edition of TRIOTHON is shaped around participation and an enjoyable race-day experience. The event may include:
TRIOTHON also welcomes interest from organisations and community partners who would like to support the event through sponsorship or collaboration.
We look to work with partners whose values and involvement are appropriate for a school and community setting and who can contribute positively to the overall event experience.
