TRIO’s PYP Swimmers Making Waves Through Determination and Team Effort

The recent BAASC swimming championship hosted by Stonehill brought remarkable success for the TRIO World Academy’s young athletes, whose discipline and consistent effort translated into an impressive overall performance. Demonstrating both individual excellence and strong teamwork, the students secured a total of 26 medals across individual and relay events, earning the school an overall 3rd position.

The PYP swimmers displayed commendable commitment in their respective events. In individual categories, Amrutha achieved 2nd place in the 50m Backstroke. Several students secured 3rd place finishes: Surr in the 50m Freestyle, Leon in both the 50m and 25m Breaststroke events, Anweksha in the 25m Butterfly, and Samanyu in the same category.

Equally notable were the relay team performances, with all teams earning 3rd place in their events. The 3 & Below Boys relay team included Timothy, Samanyu, Samarth, and Chetan. In the 5 & Below Girls Freestyle Relay, Anweksha, Surr, Amrutha, and Thanusha represented the school. The 5 & Below Boys Freestyle Relay team featured Avyukth, Shlok, Hridhaan, and Thashan. In the Medley Relay events, the 5 & Below Girls team comprised Saanchi, Ayra, Hyoun, and Anweksha, while the boys’ team included Leon, Avyukth, Hriday, and Shlok.

This achievement reflects the students’ dedication and their ability to work together and perform under pressure. Their efforts have brought pride to the school community and set a strong example for their peers.
