Building Champions from the Start: A Memorable Day at the BIS Inter-school Mini Olympics 2026

The Early Years (EY) Physical Education Department recently celebrated a remarkable milestone as young learners stepped onto the field with energy, enthusiasm, and a budding sense of purpose at the BIS Inter-School Mini Olympics 2026 – Early Years Athletic Meet held at Pendleton Park. Within the PYP athletics pathway, these young athletes are laying the foundation for a culture of excellence, gradually emerging as confident individuals who embody the spirit of sport. At TRIO, sports are an identity, a shared language, and a defining feature of the learning journey.

The highlight of the day was the participation of Nursery, EY 1, and EY 2 students in the Mini Olympics. The event brought together a vibrant mix of schools, including Bangalore International School, Legacy International School, and Chaman Bhartiya School. This gathering created a dynamic platform where young learners could experience the joy of movement, collaboration, and friendly competition.

What stood out most was the spirit with which the children participated. Every race, jump, and activity was met with excitement, determination and a willingness to try something new.

The inclusive nature of the event ensured that every child felt valued and celebrated. Each participant received a medal and certificate.

Students carried back memories of shared experiences, newfound confidence, and a deepening love for sports. Events like these play a crucial role in shaping attitudes toward physical activity and teamwork from an early age.

The Early Years Homeroom Teachers expressed sincere gratitude to parents for their continued support and encouragement. Partnership between the school and families plays a vital role in motivating students to participate actively and strive for excellence in all aspects of their development.
