TRIO World Academy in the Spotlight: Visit by the Deputy Consul General and Consul of Japan in Bengaluru, Featured in The Times of India
At TRIO World Academy, we are proud to offer an international learning environment that values diversity and encourages genuine cultural exchange. We had the distinct honour of hosting the Deputy Consul General of Japan in Bengaluru, Yoshimura Tomotaka, and the Consul of Japan in Bengaluru, Akasaki Shintaro on 28 March 2026. Their gracious visit was a reaffirmation of the strong and growing relationship between the school and Bengaluru’s vibrant Japanese community.
Their presence was especially significant in the context of the Japanese Supplementary School (JSS), which we are proud to host. This initiative continues to play a vital role in helping Japanese students stay connected to their cultural and academic roots while living abroad. The encouragement and support extended by the Japanese Consulate serve as a strong pillar in sustaining and enriching this meaningful collaboration.

Adding to this moment of pride, TRIO World Academy was featured in The Times of India on the same day, in a story highlighting Bengaluru’s thriving Japanese community and their unique ability to bridge cultures. The feature recognised the school’s contribution in supporting Japanese families through initiatives like the JSS and in creating a space where cultural identity is preserved and celebrated.

These moments capture the spirit of TRIO, a place where cultures meet, ideas are shared, and relationships with communities like the Japanese expat network continue to grow.
